Delton "Del" Ziesch
December 5, 1948 - November 27, 2021
Delton was a very private person and was a friend and neighbor to many in the Drake Area, especially those who worked at Drake Diner. He worked around the Des Moines area cleaning bars and was a passionate conservative. He saw Ben Carson at the Republican Caucus at Drake University and was a big fan of his. Del enjoyed talking about politics and what was going in the news, not something many people open up with each other about. Del loved watching the San Francisco Giants and rooting on The Drake Women's Basketball team. Del will be missed by his neighbors and past and present staff at Drake Diner. Keep your eye out for for a new sandwich named after him!
