Brian Christopher Kitt Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Brian Kitt Brian Christopher Kitt, 46, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and cousin was born March 12, 1976 in Des Moines, Iowa to Mary (Petersen) and Michael Kitt. He died June 28 in an accident. Brian was raised in Des Moines, Iowa with his three brothers. He attended Dowling Catholic High School where he participated in football and graduated from Carroll Kemper in 1994. Brian was a graduate of Indian Hills Community College and was employed as an IT architect at Principal since 1997. On August 11, 2005, Brian was blessed to marry the love of his life Stephanie Bacus. He treasured his 16 years as her husband. Brian was an amazing father to his son, Landon, and he spent countless hours teaching him to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors. His loss is immeasurable. He lit up the world with his kindness. Brian was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Janet Bacus, his special uncle Sid Vander Ploeg, and his grandparents Herman and Louise Petersen, and Henry and Lucy Kitt. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his cherished son, Landon (12), his special nephew Logan, his brothers Jeff (Danielle, Hannah and Cole); Scott (Trisha, Zachary, Brennan and Mallory); and Eric (Janelle Cameron and Hayley); his father-in-law Steve Bacus; his sister-in-law (Selena Bacus, Logan, Abigail and Rorie). His memory will also be cherished by a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and work colleagues. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later time.
